God has not called me on this World Race journey alone. He has surrounded me with an amazing team of travel companions of whom I am daily thankful! May I introduce you to team Arrow…

Dex (AKA: Dex-Mex, Master cook)

Wise. Intentional. Deep.

Dex seriously lives out God’s command to die to ourselves and live as the reflection of Christ. Dex challenges our team daily even if he doesn’t realize it. He challenges us to live intentionally, and sacrifice the desires of our flesh in order to grow closer to the Lord. He challenges us to live a life desiring God above all else. When Dex speaks, you know it’s something he’s thought about and taken before the Lord. Intentional & Deep. Those words capture him so well. Dex walks in humility and a desire to be molded into the righteousness of Christ. He processes and prays with a desire to hear God speak. Dex lives so close to the heart of God, fully aware of the grace being poured upon him. A Man after God’s heart – that is Dex. Anointed with leadership and a passionate love for God’s Word, Dex leads our team into the throne room of God to sit at our Kings feet and rest in His power and grace.

Phil (AKA: Philly cheese. Philly manilley. “Gringo-Chinoâ€ – coined by the kids in Honduras; they called him “Chinoâ€ so much that one time I seriously had to stop and think about what his real name was.

Loyal. Restorer. Encourager.

The moment you meet Phil, you know he’s legit. His walk with God is real, his love for you is genuine, and the call God’s put on his life will change the world. Phil might possibly be the most loyal individual I’ve ever known. Sincerity radiates from his every action and word. Phil has this amazing ability and anointing to comfort and encourage. Sit down and talk with him, and by the end of the conversation you’ve shared your entire life story- deep dark secrets and all. You don’t even care though, because you know that he for real cares about you. He truly desires the best for you, advocates for you, and will fight to the death for you. God has called him to love and redeem; to reconcile and build up. Speaker of truth and love, Phil brings comfort and peace wherever he goes. Gosh, thank you Lord (!!) you placed this bold, loyal Man of God on our team.

Lindsay (AKA: Linz, “Lindaâ€ – Joe-Joe & PA shout out!)

Passionate. Merciful. Beautiful.

It will only take you 0.3 seconds before you realize that Lindsay is recklessly and uncontrollably in love with her Savior. Walking hand in hand with the Love of her life, Lindsay lives in constant awareness and attentiveness to God’s presence. She has an anointing to bring the presence of God wherever she is, and daily calls our team to draw close to His heart and rest in the love and mercy found in His arms.  She prays with intimacy and power. Intentional and passionate, Lindsay walks confidently in who God has called her to be and the calling He’s placed on her life – to bring the love and freedom of God’s Word to His people. Beautiful, intelligent; bold and merciful, Lindsay is going to change a generation. Fighter of what she believes in, giver of amazing hugs, speaker of Spanish, and lover of all things Central American, Lindsay exudes the fragrant love of Jesus and shares His love with a captivating joyfulness.

Tracy (AKA: Trace-face, Ace, “the kids call me Crazy…)

Giver. Committed. Faithful.

Gosh. How do I being to capture how committed Tracy is to this team? To this squad? How much she showers this community with love? Let’s start with the amazing back rubs she gives when we need it most. The tender way she prayers and intercedes for our team, the intuitive way she knows when we are struggling and serves us in a manner that is completely self-sacrificing. Tracy is captivating. Beautiful blue eyes and a heart desperately in love with Jesus instantly draw you in. Peacefulness envelopes her like a blanket and warms everyone around her. Tracy is a giver. She shares anything and everything she has, and the most beautiful thing to watch her share is the love of Christ. It overflows through her words, her actions, and her precious smile. Tracy walks in freedom and the truth that she is a cherished daughter of the King of King and Lord of Lords and His love for her is everlasting.

Ashley (AKA: Ash, Ash-bash, “You can just call me Astrid)

Positive. Believes in people.

Ashley has introduced us to words like “Loves it. Bo-bo, Oooh junk, and Super Gnar (translation: gnarly, outrageous, wicked out of control). Laid back, lover of science and all things “nerdyâ€, shredder of gnar ski-slopes, and eater of mass amounts of pancakes, Ash makes my soul happy. I can’t even express how much I love the joy and positivity that exudes out of her! The best moments are when she busts out dances to Lady Gaga, laughs so hard it turns into a snort and admits to pulling off the “No shower lookâ€ for the record holding length of 5 days. Loves it! But for real, Ash tangibly answers the call to be Christ’s hands and feet through her heart to serve and truly love others. Her love isn’t fleeting or surface level. Unconditional and with abandon, Ash sees God’s people with His eyes and longs to see those around her know the life-changing love of Christ. Ash see’s the best in others and celebrates their uniqueness with an excited, “That’s Presh!â€ and gorgeous smile that turns into a captivating laugh. An encourager, courageous speaker of truth, and hard-core ASU fan, Ash absolutely completes this team. “App State- it’s game day…whaaaaat?!â€

Rebecca (AKA: Becs. Becca-potimus)

Nurturer. Courageous.

Pretty much everything that comes out of Rebecca Weavers mouth makes me laugh. Sarcastic and witty, realistic and truthful, I love this girl. Rebecca is a beautiful combination of activator and challenger; comforter and nurturer. God has anointed her with a bravery to take our team to the hard, deep places of honestly, vulnerability, and intimacy. Rebecca calls us to live in a community of accountability and encouragement and leads us in some rocking nights of Coffee & Conversation. I also love watching Rebecca hold babies. For real. If you want to see Rebecca come alive, give her a small child. If she could, she will hold and comfort that baby forever. The way Rebecca loves that ‘little ball of new life’ beautifully reflects the way God loves us: unwavering, fierce, never-ending, and full of comfort and peace. God has anointed Rebecca with a spirit to nurture, take care, and mother and I can’t wait to see this bold, beautiful Woman of God runnning an orphanage where she can hold and love God’s children forever.
