A
lot has happened in Ireland since my last blog! We have scrubbed a
lot of
graffiti around the city of Galway, picked up trash, have helped some local
businesses with random tasks, done some prayer ministry and also some street
evangelism. We have also had the opportunity to get to know some families from
Discovery Church and they have been such an incredible blessing to us each
moment we have been here! I am constantly humbled by how this body of Christ
shows His loves so well! (But that is for a later blog)

     So
street evangelism huh? Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I’ve had many misconceptions
on street evangelism in that past and I’ve seen it abused in many ways before
so coming into it I was a little unsure but oh how God redeems! Podrig, an
extremely anointed Irish man, gave us a lesson/briefing on how to evangelize
here in Ireland and has even gone out with us to evangelize. It has been so
neat to watch God work in these times of evangelism. Podrig says that we
are waiters/waitresses for the Kingdom of God! We are dead, we have no
reputations, and we have come to set the table of the Lord for those who don’t
know Jesus!

“I have been
crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.
And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who
loved me and gave himself for me.â€  – Galatians 2:20 –

    All
this made sense going into the first day of street evangelism but when we
actually got on the streets the thought of going straight up to someone and
getting right into the topic of God/church/Jesus was a tad scary. I know I have
authority in Jesus, I know who I am in Christ, I desire for the Irish to know
Jesus but I was just plain nervous. So the first day of street evangelism was
tough and I fumbled my way through but God is gracious!

    The
days after got progressively better! I really grasped the concept that I am
dead to this world and only alive in Christ, we are called to suffer with Jesus
and if getting rejected by Irish people is what that looks like I should be
more than honored to partake in the bringing of the Kingdom! After all, this is
our purpose right? We are MADE and CALLED to make disciples of all nations! In
Ireland the soil is hard. We are tilling the soil and planting seeds.

“For it has been
granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him
but also suffer for his sake, engaged in the same conflict that you saw I had
and now hear that I still have.

– Philippians 1: 29-30 –
