Sorry for the delay in blogging but here is one for you now!
We’ve been in Romania for a couple weeks now and it has been glorious! Three
teams from O squad are living in Bucharest, Romania at a place called Casa
Shalom, which means House of Peace and that is truly what it is! There is a
Holy covering over this place! I have had an unending desire to worship the
Lord here, cannot get enough worship if I tried! This place is such a sanctuary
for all those who enter in! Our host, Becky, is an incredible lady who desires
to please the Lord in everything she does. She is passionate about bringing the
Kingdom to all those who need it! Born American, she moved to Germany for many
years, then God called her to Eastern Europe and she picked Romania! She is a
beautiful example of Christ!
For
ministry we have been doing lots of different things but my favorite is a place
called Jubilee! Jubilee is a home for at risk women. All of these women are in
their twenties and thirties and were raised in orphanages as children. Most of
them were thrown out on the street at age eighteen. Many are angry and have
built up many walls. Many have been abused and do not know a life of love and
affirmation. Some are believed to be mentally disabled but the more time I
spend with them, the more I think they just need to be spoken to in love,
touched in love, fed in love, held in love. These women need love even if they
are not ready to
receive it!
A
beautiful daughter in the eyes of the Lord, Vandana has stolen my heart this
week. She is very shy, doesn’t talk much, and is afraid to be touched or at
least she was. I have seen miraculously improvement in here even this week.
Every time I say her name her face lights up,
she now let’s us hold her hand
and rub her back! She read some verses in the bible with me yesterday, in
English and Romanian. I proclaim in the name of Jesus that Vandana has a mind
that works efficiently and wonderfully; she just needs love and someone to take
the time to love and work with her. As a whole, my team of O squad girls and
the power of God within us, has seen tremendous breakthrough even in this last
week. And last month another O squad team was working with the Jubilee girls.
A
family from America just started watching over Jubilee a couple months ago.
They are amazing but will continue to need people to come in and love on these
women, to love them with the love of Christ! Pray for God to continue to bring
people to speak life and truth over these women! We are casting out anger,
rage, built up walls, abuse and any other evil spirits in the name of Jesus! We
speak the name Jubilee over these women, that it would be a place of joyful
celebration! This world is dark, but we have been called into a life of light,
a life that fights against darkness!!
“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against
evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this
dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
-Ephesians 6:12-
