“Share each others burdens, and in this way
obey the law of Christ.”

– Galations 6:2 –

The first few days of training camp we all about laying down rights and expectations, healing, deliverance, Holy Spirit, soulties, singing and dancing before the Lord and just getting to know our squad mates. About mid-week we went into a time of team formation. After a day and a half of intense prayer and discernment by World Race trainers, staff and alumni our teams we formed! There is no doubt that each team was hand picked by God Himself!
After finding out our teams, we scurried off into town to “Make a Memory”. Our time of making our first memory together as a team consisted of Target (of course), apples and free samples of food at Publix, coffee, Chili’s, balloon animals and hats, and coming up with our team name: Koinonia!
Why Koinonia and what does it even mean?
In Greek, Koinonia (Koy-no-knee-a) means fellowship, dynamic community
resulting in action.  It is often used to refer to the Last Supper. The first occurrence of koinonia is in Acts 2:42,
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the
fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
Fellowship and having a dynamic community through the love of Christ is our main goal. We know that if we strive to put Christ and each other first that our lives will indeed result in acts of love toward all those we speak to, touch, and see on the race.  We desire to come together in love, faith, and encouragement. Koinonia is being in agreement with one another, being united in
purpose, and serving alongside each other. This is the
essence of koinonia.

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any
comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any
tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being
like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

We covet your prayers this year as we leave on June 16th for the nations!
Ways To Pray:
– That we would put Christ at the center of our team each moment of each day
– That we would prefer, honor, and love one another
