So after 5 flights and one 22 hour bus ride we have reached Cartagena, Colombia for Month 7. If you haven’t guessed there is no wifi where we live this month, so I apologize for the delay in the update.
I can tell you what life looks like, I currently live in an Colombian barrio helping teach kids and adults learn english and hang out with breaking dancers who use their special talents to bring together the community and tell them about Jesus.
Sounds pretty cool right, but let’s be honest this county girl is struggling. I’ve been placed in city after city after city after city and city. I finally hit a nice big wall. Right now I’m sitting in a old city literally surrounded by walls, a little ironic I know.
So the first couple weeks have been leaning into the Lord and asking Him why. He has been showing me that this is my journey and He is constantly taking away the things I think I ‘need’ to be more dependent on Him. Not the best feeling in the world, but that’s where I’m at.
So as I move onto the last leg of my journey I continue to lean in and move forward. Plus did I tell you the my feet have found me back to South America? What!
