Welcome back to the blog, folks!
First things first, I deeply apologize for my hiatus from blogging for a while. A lot of things have happened and I cannot wait to update all of you precious people! In fact, let’s get started:
Update #1: I am not overseas right now. That’s right, I did not launch in July. Instead, I will be launching in JANUARY now. Why, you ask?
1. I was tied to a lease that was not completed until July 31st.
It’s important to follow through with obligations (or so this adult world tells me).
2. As you can tell, I am not yet funded.
I lack quite a few dollars to being fully funded.
If you want to help, be my guest!
Just click “Support Me” and give however you feel led.
3. It wasn’t God’s timing.
God knew when I accepted my spot on the Race that I wouldn’t leave in July.
He knew.
I didn’t.
God knew that January 2015 would be the time I leave the States to spread His name to the nations.
God always knew.
It took me a while to figure that out.
Update #2: I have a new baby nephew! I realize that this is a ministry blog and most of you are probably thinking “what does the nephew have to do with the World Race?” Well, truth is: nothing. I am just a really excited Aunt who already loves that little guy (Riley Evan) more than would seem possible. He was born July 22nd at 12:14am. If babies aren’t a blessing from God, I don’t know what is!
Update #3: My new route is the January 2015 Route 2! I am so excited to announce that I will be going to THAILAND on this route, a place that my hearts longs to do ministry in. I do not have any explanation why I have been longing to go to Thailand for missions other than the simple fact that God has placed a burning passion for the people of Thailand within my heart. And oh how excited I am to go there and show His precious people of Thailand the love the He offers! What are all my route’s countries? Well….
1. Philippines
2. Thailand
3. Cambodia
4. Vietnam
5. Malawi
6. Zambia
7. Zimbabwe
8. Ireland
9. Bulgaria
10. Moldova
11. Romania
Update #4: After a couple fundraisers (t-shirt sales and a garage sale my grandparents had for me), I have money now to buy my pack (the big backpack that will hold all of my belongings for the 11 months on the Race) and hopefully my tent! I have a great story about the surprise and the power of giving in relation to the garage sale, but that will be for a different blog! (Coming soon!)
Update #5: I am houseparent at a Sheriff’s Ranch for five months now and I have no clue when a good time to tell both my employers and my kiddos that I will be leaving in January. I cannot tell one (employer or kids) without the other finding out. My kids have all had some kind of history of people disappointing them, leaving them, neglecting them, or all of the above and I certainly don’t want to be added to that list. I don’t want to be just another person who they feel like left them behind.
Now I have a few prayer requests for you lovelies:
1. Prepare my kids’ hearts at the Ranch for the news of my leaving.
2. Motivation to diligently fundraise, blog, read.
3. Donors to support my ministry and get me funded!
4. Opportunities to speak about my Race ministry and invite others to join by giving or praying.
5. That my heart will be focused on His plan, not my plans.
6. For E Squad who are out right now sharing the Gospel with the nations.
7. For the hearts of the people I will be going to, for God to prepare their hearts to hear and receive the Gospel.
If any of you have any questions about me or my Race ministry, feel free to comment or email me @ [email protected].
Thank-you for reading!
I love you.
And so does God.
He actually loves you more.
(John 3:16)
