Peru was a whirlwind!
Perhaps because we were working with a new ministry each week…
Perhaps because February is a short month…
Perhaps it is because the whole squad (60 people) were living on a compound the size of a postage stamp…

Whatever it is, Bolivia is up next and I could not be more excited!

I can sum up my excitement in six letters: UHC and ATL

UHC: Unsung Heroes Campaign
Adventures in Missions is starting a new program to create even more partnerships and ministry contacts around the world. As the ones on the "frontlines", we will be spending part of our time on the World Race networking within communities to find these unsung heroes. So, what exactly is an unsung hero you ask? An unsung hero is someone who is "dedicated to serving some of the most impoverished nations in the world (hero), especially someone who rarely receives recognition for their dedication and service." (unsung)
I will be trained in the logistical aspects of this campaign once we arrive in La Paz later this week. But from what I know so far, it is a great way to work with a wide range of missionaries and outreach programs while connecting them with AIM for future world racers and mission trips! Can't wait to fill you in on more details as they come!

ATL: Ask the Lord
I kind of knew that at some points during this year we may not have a specific schedule, set ministry contact, or predetermined plan. I just had no idea that it would be something I could be so thrilled about!
My team will be Asking The Lord what his plans are for us in Bolivia. We will be starting out in La Paz for UHC training, but after that we will go where the Lord is calling us. i think this is going to be such an incredible exercise in trusting God to provide for us – for everything, the big stuff and the small stuff!

God's timing is perfect. There is no way I would've been comfortable with such an unstructured month a few weeks ago. God has been teaching me so much more about the way he longs to answer my prayers and loves to show me more about what a faithful, loving Father he is. I just know he is going to show up in big ways as my team begins to pray for his guidance and hand in our ministry for Bolivia.

I am so excited to share more about what all of this looks like (once I know more about what it looks like…)
Also, I have a blog in the works on some of the ways God has been working on me and my heart for missions.

More to come soon!
Much love from Peru
