Tomorrow I leave for 11 months in 11 different countries. Its been such a crazy 8 months getting ready, buying gear, and saying see you later to my friends. It hasn't hit me yet that I'm really leaving for 11 months. I have been on the phone with my Mama and listened to her cry and couldn't help but laugh. I've held a dear friend while she cried and laughed. I don't know why I can't cry with them. I guess because I know God has it all under control. That this isn't goodbye but just see you later. I think I'll break down on the flight to Ireland. I will miss all of my loved ones here at home. I should let in you know I'm laughing because I know how much they love me and want me to stay with them but that they are willing to trust God with me and are sending me out with their blessings, prayers, and love.
I have had some crazy things happen in the past two weeks that I can't help but think were little get ready for the race moments. I tried to be a good car owner and check fluid only to leave the cap off the raditor and have all the fluid burst out and cause smoke. I'm thankful for a super great stepdad who is so patient with me and filled it back up and sent me on my way. I've had plans get screwy due my forgetfulness and yet everything worked out, in some cases to be even better than the original plan. So although I have no idea if I'm really ready for this year on the race I do know that God has got me right where I need to be and that He is holding me in His mighty right hand. I can leave with joy in my heart knowing my Father has good plans for me and for you. I'm excited to see the changes in my family and friends when I return. For He has GOOD plans for us all.
