We have been at our ministry location for just a week and I am already valuing my headphones. So today, after spending some downtime reading some C.S. Lewis, I put them in. I am feeling “out of sorts” today, just not really feeling like myself. Perhaps I need a good worship time, a quiet walk in the woods, or a good cry…not sure which.
But as I was listening Call Me Higher by All Sons & Daughters encouraged me. “I will be yours for all my life…Let your mercy write the path before me.” That’s my prayer for my life. That God will lead me. I don’t know if the World Race will lead me to further missions or otherwise. And at this point, it doesn’t matter. At this point it’s about the journey. Sometimes it’s hard to be in the journey and not understand ‘the point’ or the destination. I knew from the start that the World Race wasn’t about God calling me to GO someplace, it was God calling me to a deeper relationship with him. This song was really speaking to me today.
So to be reminded that God has called me and that his purpose is greater is refreshing when I’m having a “out of sorts” day.
