Hello Everybody!
I am in Coleraine, Northern Ireland! Forgive me for not blogging sooner to let you know I made it safe and sound, we dove into training near Dublin for the first few days and time has been flying by. Yesterday we arrived in Coleraine and got settled into our awesome accommodations for world race standards; we have electricity, hot showers, and beds, which is unheard of for world racers, but trust me, it won’t stay like this for long!
This is Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin.I am so excited and happy to be here. Coleraine is such a cute town, there are flowers EVERYWHERE. It’s beautiful. Today we connected with the church we will be working with, Causeway Coast Vineyard. Today we prepared and decorated the church for Destiny Island Adventures kids camp for the children in the area which we will be helping run the rest of the week. Besides the kids camp we will just be going throughout the city and serving; from scrubbing toilets of local business, washing windows, visiting the elderly homes, handing out food to the homeless, and other types of service.
