WELL! I suppose it is about time for me to write another blog…”amiright”?
Let’s talk about FUNDRAISING.. and my experience doing so, so far.
First off, I work a full time job at Providence Home Services. I am an office assistant, and I do things like billing, filling, mailing statements, writing things off, adjustments, and so on.
Secondly, I am working a part time job as a “nanny” or “babysitter” where I watch 7 children (yes, from the same family) whenever they need me.
Thirdly, I go to school full time… or was. This is something I kind of wanted to touch up on. I decided to drop my classes this summer term for a few different reasons, which means I will not be finishing my associates degree before I go on the WR.
REASONS
- I can hardly stay awake with two jobs let alone a full term of classes
- Two of the class are online and I find that I am not motivated enough to actually take the time in participating in them
- With such a full schedule I haven’t been good about reading the bible, and studying to prepare for the WR
- I haven’t really been fundraising…which is REALLY important for me to get to go on this trip!
- I am not even sure what exactly I want to do with school.
- I felt like God needs me to focus on Him, and the WR for the time being
Anyways! I am basically working my life away (more like 6-7 months) to make my funds for the world race.
In Church this Sunday, we talked about FULLY trusting in God and to know that He WILL provide, and that if the WR is really where he wants me to be (church wasn’t about the WR…just applying the sermon to my life), He will get me there. AND I do trust Him, and I do believe in that. God has given me the opportunity to work as much as I am/can. I think it is important for me to help just as much, and if not more as my supporters have been, SO I am doing just that.
With that being said I am working really hard, and I CAN’T do it alone. I ask that you support me in anyway possible if you feel called to. (Donate money, Pray, Spread my story to friends/family, etc.)
Thank you in advance…
Love,
Mar
PS my first deadline is SEPTEMBER, and I need to have 5,000 dollars by the end of the month.
