My second garage sale this past weekend was a success. Yay! The Lord brought in nearly $450 in two days, despite the sudden downpour of rain on Friday and the oppressive heat of Saturday. God is so good! It was also great getting to talk with people about the World Race; it truly excites my heart to share with people what I am so passionate about.

I can’t even begin to tell you how blessed I was this past week with all those who donated items and helped out with the sale. Sooo, I’m just going to give a long list of thanks!
Thank you….
Emily Moore, for donating a trunk load of stuff, and driving all the way out to the Galleria to give it to me. You are such a sweet friend, and I am so blessed by you!
Rebekah Kinser, for donating tons of great clothes (and lots of Christmas decorations…lol) and helping me out with the sale. And sorry for all those times I said I was going to pick up the stuff and ended up waiting til you fell asleep ;). I promise one day I will correct this perpetual tardiness!
Aunt Anne, for donating some really awesome books and electronics. Your stuff was the hit of the sale!
Mrs. McAfee, for the TONS of clothes and other great stuff you donated. Your pots were my first sale of the day, and all the hangers you donated were a life saver! Also, thank you so very much for spreading the word about the sale and helping me organize things. Your help was invaluable when it started raining! I can’t believe how fast we got everything in that garage :).
Mrs. Brown, for letting me borrow your clothes rack, and for donating lots of awesome first aid/hygiene stuff for my trip. I will be the go-to person on my team for toilet paper, bug spray, and hand sanitizer!
Mrs. Stutts, for donating the awesome toy box and girl’s clothes. I didn’t have any children’s stuff previously, so it was a blessing receiving yours!
Lindsay Donham & Whitney Payne, for donating so many fashionable clothes and shoes. Although I have to say, I laughed when y’all both sent the same pair of East High shorts from High School Musical!
Mom, for bringing me breakfast and helping me set up/run the sale on Friday. I was so glad to have another person there with me. Sorry we got soaked, but I wouldn’t have been able to get everything inside without your help! You kept me from getting upset or discouraged :).
The Points Family, for letting me invade your sweet home for this sale. You lent me your car, your house keys, and your invaluable help with the sale. I wish I could express in words how blessed I was by all of this. Thank you Mrs. Points for helping me unload, set up, and showing me how to market my garage sale! Thank you Amber for working so hard to organize everything, even when you had just gotten back from church camp (I know you must have been exhausted!). And thank you Mr. Points for donating some of your clothes, as well as making me an awesome lunch :). I am so blessed by your family.
Spencer McAfee, for bringing me not one, but TWO snowcones, and keeping me company all day in the heat. You were an awesome bracelet salesman, although you might have bought just as many for yourself as you sold to other people! Thank you also for helping me tear down and pack up in the awful heat. I know Saturday was your one day off, and I can’t believe you would spend it doing manual labor for me! You are a blessing and a truly great friend.
My heart is exploding right now with thankfulness because of all the people mentioned above. I have never experienced such love! May God bless you all for your selflessness and sacrifice.

That being said, I had enough stuff left over from this sale to have ANOTHER sale next weekend! I have heard from several people that they wanted to donate stuff, but didn’t have enough time to get it all together, so here is your opportunity! The more stuff we have, the better. Please please contact me if you have any “junk” you would like to donate by Friday of this week. Spread the word to your friends as well!

Thank you all again, and God Bless!
