We had a blogging challenge this month to create a blog with 'Holy Spirit' in the title. I have been putting it off all month, because I had NO idea what to write. To be honest, I didn't know what to write because I feel like the Holy Spirit is kind of a difficult thing to understand. I searched for some verses about the Holy Spirit and read some sermons about the Holy Spirit online.

The Holy Spirit, the Son, and the Father are 3 in 1, the divine Trinity. When we repent and are baptized in Jesus' name, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2). The Spirit lives within us, and is always with us. Jesus promised that his Spirit will be with us "always, to the end of age" Matthew 28:20.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. John 14:26

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.  You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.'  The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." John 3:6-8

(wind and spirit are the same, the Greek word for wind is the same word for spirit)

The small amount of research I did on the Holy Spirit was super refreshing for me. How amazing it is that our God loves us so much, that we are equipped with the gift of His spirit to always guide, lead, and remind us. It is such a comfort to know we are never alone 🙂
