Thanks to all who were praying for the safe travel and arrival for my team and I as we traveled to the Philippines. We arrived in Manila via Hong Kong with no delays, no problems, and no complaints, thank the Lord. We are staying at Kim International Ministries (www.kidsinternationalministries.org) until the end of the week as we finish our Launch Training and then we are off to the dumps to work with the Philippine Christian Fellowship.

This Launch training has launched me into a whole new world of the unknown that I didn’t anticipate after Training Camp. I know the field is going to be hard and it is extremely necessary for us to have all the necessary tools to be effective. I know ministry will be difficult and we cannot do it on our own. I embrace the need for change and the pain that may occur through being made more like Christ. Some of these changes may come about by having my faith challenged on a daily basis because the World Race is an inter-denominational trip. Readers, don’t be alarmed. I simply mean I wish to glean the good and Godly things that being caught up in denominationalism has inhibited. That being said, our coach and leadership have encouraged me to believe and engage in things that I have never experienced. I want to know God more and know Him on a deeper level, I just don’t want to abandon everything I have been taught by God-fearing men and women for another theology taught by other God-fearing mena and women.

Basically, I have come to the following conclusion: Me being part of the World Race did not happen by accident. I trust the Lord and must consistently seek His face in order to make sure what I am hearing is in line with His Word. I don’t have to agree whole-heartedly with everything in order to minister alongside other World Racers, just like I don’t have to know or understand everything about God to love Him and serve Him. God continues to challenge me and I am thankful for His constant hand in my life launching me into new and greater things.
