Instead of making a clever blog title to try and draw people to read this blog post I thought I would come straight out and say it.
I need your support!
I am offering you the opportunity to partner with me in ministry. To invest in my discipleship and in missions work this summer.
Many of you supported me on my race and I feel led to ask for your forgiveness and grace. I didn’t keep you as informed on what was going on throughout my race as I should have and I haven’t thanked you properly.
I ask that you please forgive me for this. I have been very hesitant the last three months to ask for support since moving here to work at Adventures in Missons (AIM). I feared rejection believing you all wouldn’t extend me grace for these shortcomings from my race.
Here is what I need your help in supporting:
At Adventures I work as an intern in the mornings with the Church-to-Church (C2C) department.
Our goal in the Church-to-Church department is to have church congregations in the States form long term, meaningful, relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ overseas. We also have a Native American branch with the same goal for Christ’s body in the US on reservations. We do our best to partner two congregations together in order that both churches will grow and uplift one another.
In the afternoons I attend a discipleship school, the Center for Global Activation (CGA).
CGA is AIMs new discipleship school where we are being challenged to grow in intimacy with the Lord and cultivated to understand what callings God has on our lives so we can best bring His kingdom.
CGA is the equivalent to full time classes and they have been worth the investment. I have grown so much in the two months I have been here. I’ve been trying to give you all some insight as to what I have been learning in my blogs because, as of now, this is the best way I can minister to you.
I’ve also opted into the worship track in CGA. This branch off of CGA is for intersession, worship and prayer. We spend Tuesday nights and Friday afternoons in various places around Gainesville worshiping Jesus.
The last investment I am asking you to partner with me in is a two-month passport trip I will be leading this summer. Passport is AIM’s college age trip and my role as team leader will be primarily in the discipleship of these 18-22 year olds as well as the logistics of the trip.
As of now I don’t know where I will be leading (somewhere overseas). I do know that I leave May 27th and return July 28th.
So this is my financial need: $3,600
I am in need of $1,500 for the passport trip and $2,100 for CGA and working in Church-to-Church. The $3,600 covers food and lodging while I work here and as I travel abroad this summer.
