Arrival in Thailand!
Saturday morning we arrived in Phuket, Thailand after 36 hours of travel by plane and
bus. Our route: Los Angeles to Taipei, Taiwan to Bangkok, Thailand to Phuket,
Thailand.. We had a very scenic 14 hour bus ride for Bangkok to Phuket, Thailand.

the Jungle on Thursday! We will be ministering in and around Chiang-Mai, Thailand near
Burma. We will be working with missionaries: Ray and Candice Ward. The Wards
ministry includes serving the Burmese refugees in camps in Northern Thailand. They are
actively building children’s homes and coming along side Thai pastors and helping them
reach the villages of Northern Thailand for Christ. Our team is really looking forward to
serving in Northern Thailand.
While traveling to Thailand, I was reading in James and discovered that a foundation for
our ministry this year is prayer. James 5:13-16 says “Is any one of you in trouble? He
should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He
should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name
of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will
raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each
other and pray for each other so that you my be healed.”
We need to offer our prayers in faith-faith that God will heal, faith that God will forgive
sins, faith that God will do amazing things through our team this year.
My prayer is that the hearts of those we minister to will be open and receptive to God’s
Word.. I pray that we will be led by the spirit and provide those we come in contact with
opportunity to accept God’s grace by accepting his sacrifice of Jesus.
