Well, blogs are going to be scarce for awhile, and they won’t have pictures either. This weekend every electronic device I have united in a counter attack after my victory over the laptop last week. My computer is a paper weight (or a blue-screen-of-death night light if I turn it on), my camera can’t take pictures, and my ipod decides randomly when to display information and when not to. I’m more than a little frustrated with it all, especially since it means I can’t call home to straighten out some financial issues or talk to my sister (it’s her birthday today). Please be praying that it can all be fixed.
Also, pease be in prayer for my time at the boy’s home – I’ve been feeling a little underwhelmed there lately. It’s been difficult to arrange for someone to be around to translate for me, so I don’t do much more than hang out with the boys. I pick up supplies for them sometimes, help 2 of the boys with english homework a bit, and am working out the installation of wheel chair ramps and some new tile work, but that leaves a few hours of exchanging individual words in English and Chinese most days. I really want to be doing more with them, to be able to get to know them, and to help in ways that are needed instead of just…staring at each other. Pray for the right person to get involved.
