I have been on the race almost 3 months now. That is three different countries, three different cultures, three different people groups. It has been a wild ride for sure and I would like to tell you some things I have learned!
1. You see God work through people you once never knew, but now are family, and you can see how they are going to change the world
2. Alone time is something that you value more and more, but when your teammates are around its something most of the time you never want
3. In Japan you have to wear bathroom slippers to use the restroom, just to change out of them to wear the house slippers you had to take off your shoes to wear
4. If you allow God to break you and remold you and you pray for it….he is going to do it!!
5. Some months are not structured at all, while others you are lucky to have a day off
6. You keep wearing a pair of jeans that ripped at the crotch because the country you are in is expensive and you are trying your best to not spend money
7. You have the best and hardest day at the same time
8. You look back at training camp and realize you don’t recognize the person you were anymore!
9. When the leadership is more than leadership, they are more like family first before anything
10. You drink horse milk (the worst drink on the planet) and keep drinking it with your team, because why not??
11. You find out that the host family you are living with considers you family and have only known you for a week (God moves when he wants to move :)..)
12. You start to walk in the gifts that God has blessed you with, and you start to really believe you were meant for it!
13. When it is obvious what your team means to you when a lot of numbered posts are about them haha
14. You look forward to the rest of the months, because God is showing up in the biggest ways you could ever imagine and he has just started!!!!!!!!
