You know those times that God reveals to you a gift you may not have known about, or you had a thought at one point about, but pushed it aside. Well the other night this happened to me and it was shown to me in the form of two Buddhist Monks.

It sounds crazy I know, but the thing that I learned was I’m not too bad of a teacher. I know right! They came and it ended up us sitting at a table as a team and these two monks that one of my teammates had met earlier that day. We didn’t know if they were going to come, but I’m so glad they did. We sat at the table and tried to play cards with them, but they had a different plan in mind. Once we sat down one of the monks picked up a journal on the table and went…Book….haha!!

I ended up leading the way from that point. We taught them “you” and “me”. So for about 5 minutes me and the monks passed the book from one another going…your book…my book…your book…my book..The funny thing is that at points he would grab it and say your book, then we would have to go no, my book when I hold it and your book when you hold it!!

We also taught them 1-10 and the abc’s, which included singing the alphabet song!! So just picture this…7 people in there 20’s and two monks, one who is 46 and the other 36 and we are singing the alphabet song together in the middle of China haha!! These monks are tibetan and they say english is a hard language, but the tibetan language….I can barely say thank you haha!!

Towards the end of the night we tried to teach them the word chopsticks, but thats one word they couldn’t say. Its hard for them to usethe “st” and “th” in the english language. Every time they would get it right they would clap and laugh..it was just an amazing night! We took a few pictures right before they left and one was completely in awe of Ravi’s height. It was such an amazing experience to be able to communicate with people from another culture and barley need any words!!

If you could pray along side us for these men, and any who are leading this life. Pray they could experience christ’s love, and the spirit could move through this place!! It’s so awesome to know that even though we don’t speak the language God does!!

Its been such a crazy experience so far, but God is so amazing the way he constantly shows up!! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the 10 and half months holds in store, but I know for a fact no matter what Happens God is going to show up!!
