This I
Believe

We were asked to write an essay
called “
This I Believe” about what really matters to us, as
preparation for this world missions adventure called the World Race.

This is what I believe…

I believe in a God-overflowing world,
enriched by those who have sought after Him and continue to witness for His
name’s sake. I see God in people’s eyes everyday. I see and believe in those
who God has personally called to share His good news. I believe that miracles
can happen and those who take up the cross and follow Him will be given the
authority to make those miracles come to life. I believe that he has given
those who rest in Him, eternal life and that our time on Earth is temporary.

When
this tent we live in – our body here on earth – is torn down, God will have a
house in heaven for us to live in, a home he himself has made,
which
will last forever.

2
Corinthians 5:1

I also see a void in people’s
eyes, those who don’t know Him or have rejected Him due to past experiences or
believe they know otherwise. I believe that great works will be done through
those people as well, as so long as His believers rise up as bold men and women
of God to share with them the gospel. Time is wasting, that these people haven’t
received Him and been given eternal life. It is my prayer that soon God will
appear in their lives in radical ways.

I believe
God calls us to be radical and leave our comfort zones, to trust in Him and not
look back. I am willing to be different, less liked, more uncomfortable and
tired, because I know, as he has promised, I have been given life, solely to
carry out His will.

Give yourselves to
God… Surrender your whole being to him to
be used for righteous purposes.
