Always!

Story Time.

This weekend I was able to go to Budapest, Hungary. I played the role as a tourist, and I loved every minute of it.

Alex, Emma, Kelli, Fretta, and myself.

We left our home in a taxi around 5:30 AM and headed for the train. We traveled to Arad, Romania and we soon found out that they canceled all of the train rides to Budapest. What to do now?

We found a creepy man that said he could take us in this blue, sketch van. We called our contact to see if this was okay or not, he said it was fine. So all 8 of us piled in and started for our journey. Well, he pulled over in a neighborhood for 45 minutes and we couldn't figure out why we stopped. All of a sudden, he puts on a Billy Graham podcast from 1965 and another man pulls up in a much, nicer van. He knew English and said this was his dad and he is now handing us over to him for the ride.

During the border crossing, this band started playing and we all got out to dance and sing with them.

4 Hours later we arrive in Budapest, Hungary. Our hostel was an old government building and was very nice. We walked around all day and had delicious food. Later that night we went to a Turkish bath. Even though it smelled like sulfur because of the "healing powers", that experience was very…rejuvenating. The pools start off very cold and you work your way to hot water and to steam rooms and saunas. It was so fun and very much worth it!

The next day we took a tour bus all day and to end it, we went on a boat ride. I saw many cool, historic, rustic buildings and had many "firsts". Although when we were finished for the weekend our train was delayed an hour and a half and we didn't get home until 9 am. Note, we left at 10:30 PM, so, it made for an intense travel day. But my goodness, it was so fun!

These next 3 pictures are at the Basilica. It's the largest church in Hungary and absolutely beautiful!

These are two of my very best friends, Alex and Kelli. I'm thankful for them every day and they make a big part of this journey enjoyable and exciting!

I asked The Lord to be in every detail of this weekend. He certainly was! I walked in His favor and enjoyed every minute of it. He gets the glory for everything in my life. This weekend was much needed.  It was one of the best weekends I've had all year. The ministry in Romania isn't ideal for me, and I've had many "why God?" moments. It's hard manual labor and not relational, at all. I can say now that I'm in a season of brokenness and pressing in for more. God is faithful and He's bringing up a lot of goodness in my life. I'm in a good place, it's just hard. I am excited for Africa in 2 weeks, first stop, Kenya!

Thank you supporters for all you do, I pray God blesses you in an abundance.  You have helped change my life for the better, and I hope you know how much you are appreciated!
