I wanted to highlight a few people within the next few blogs- this is one specifically dedicated to two of the most humble individuals I have ever met. We call them squad coaches- they’re basically like mom and dad on the squad.
We only get to see them every other debrief it seems, but as most of you know me in person- I like to talk- a lot! Therefore, these are the two people I love to glean wisdom from. They have not only lived many years ahead of myself, but they have also wrestled with the Lord in some of the same ways that I have.
These two show you the most compassionate love I have ever experienced- they do their best at living their life back in the states as well as staying up to date with about 40 of us. That is a lot of dedication and I feel as if they sometimes don’t receive the credit they deserve. They put hours of their day into reading our blogs, watching our Vlogs, and responding to emails, and making team phone calls. They really do dedicate themselves whole-heartedly to us and they serve us so well.
They have been the fighting bone to many of my spiritual battles in a sense of them really being prayer warriors for our lives and providing us with some scripture when they feel lead.
Also- they are a ton of fun!! They enjoy many of the things that we like doing and they are like kids at heart! Full of love, laughter, grace, and humor! They make our squad what it is and I really wanted to let them know that this squad would not be M squad without them!
You both, Keith and Karen, are deeply loved! Not only by me, but also by our team! I promise that we’re not mad that you have a new squad already, but we that we are envious that you can’t be our squad mentors forever! 😉 I then remember however, that once we get to the states again- we get to be friends!! Eek- how exciting!!! 🙂
I am SO excited to see you at final debrief in SPAIN!!! Get ready for some good laughs, jokes, and lots of tears, because it’s coming!!!
