As my team and I walk the busy streets of Kathmandu, Nepal this week, my eyes are drawn to the beauty found in each corner of the city.
I wake up each morning to a newly designed sky, depicting the mountain tops and valleys in transforming ways. The plants and trees are blooming with new life, as monsoon season has just began. The rows of architecture found in the city are created with purpose and full of inspiration. I am in awe of the culture and life around me.
We are staying at Bethseda Bishram or House of Rest in Kathmandu Nepal. Our hosts for the month are Rev. Brian and Reshma Williams who run the Agape Mission Tami Asia. This ministry focuses on bringing Christ to village slums, city street kids, bar girls, and women in need of trade skills. God is going to stretch each of us this first month and we are ready!

However, before we start ministry, we will be spending this week trekking through the Himalaya’s and sharing with the villages we encounter. Many new Christians live here so our focus for the week will be to deepen their faith and share our testimonies with one another. We will begin the Trek tomorrow and complete the Trek in 7 days. This way we can fully embrace the House of Rest when we return. Please continue to pray for our teams ministry with the villages.
During the first day here Brian and Reshma’s boys Sameer and Sujon showed us around the city, we ate chicken and buffalo Mo Mo’s their favorite food.

As we were being introduced to the city I was able to find three things that reminded me of my homes back in the states. Down the street there is a wall with coca cola logos that immediately made me feel like The Hisle’s were here with me. (they are my family in Kentucky.)

I’m reminded of my Illinois home with the random cows in the streets of Nepal and behind our apartment on the rooftop you can see a field of corn growing in the middle of the city.

Please consider supporting me through this journey!!!
“Oh Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me… You both precede and follow me and place Your hand of blessing on my head.” PSALM 139:1,5
