Hey friends and family!
I wanted to share with you a little bit about where I am at right now in this whole process. Currently God is doing BIG things in my heart and my spirit. He has been moving a lot of things in my life to test and stretch my faith in him.
Since I’ve decided to embark on this journey, I have regretfully sustained an injury to my back from work that has exacerbated a previous injury that I got a couple of years back from a car accident. I am currently out of work due to this injury and at first I became immediately stressed and fearful because of the fact that I have this goal to journey with Jesus and do his work in the world. I felt frustrated because of the pain, and frustrated because I saw it as a setback that was going to hold me back from the blessing that this trip will be.
A million and one thoughts started racing through my head after this happened, that maybe this wasn’t for me, that maybe this was a sign that maybe this isn’t the right pathway for me. Thoughts like, “how am I going to make enough money to go on this trip? What if things happen while I’m away that I can’t be at home for? I’m not good enough or spiritually prepared for what I am going to encounter on the field, maybe I should just wait until I’m fully ready.”
But then I had to take a step back and realize that in fact this IS right where I need to be. He is going to use all of my failures and weakness, and turn them around to be specific TOOLS to help the people on the field in the EXACT ways that they need because of my life leading up to this point. He knows my heart, and he knows that I have a unique love to give that is going to transform lives.
He is teaching me and forcing me to simply TRUST in him to provide for something that I know in my heart he has asked me to do, because there is so much work to be done. So many people out there NEED him, they need someone to show them that they are loved and that they are not forgotten.
So I write this to tell all of you, I am moving forward strong and steady, full of faith and life. I want to THANK each and every one of you for the support that you have been giving me on this journey through your encouraging words and prayers thus far. This is a true JOURNEY, and I am trusting in God to provide in spite of all of the setbacks that I am encountering.
Also, I write to humbly ask, if there is in any way shape or form a possibility of receiving a donation from you, no matter what it is, it is SOOO incredibly appreciated! So far I have been able to save a total of $2500.00 towards this trip. (woohoo!) 🙂
