Many of you, especially if you talk to me often, have heard me talk about my “team” for the world race.
Meet team Rhema! We chose that name because there are two ways that the word of God is manifested. The first is “logos” which means the written word of God, the second is “Rhema” or the spoken word of God. It is our prayer that we would be a team that not only follows and listens to the word of God, but that we would also be women who speak the truth and life, that our words and lives would be an outpouring of the the word of God.
I wanted to give you the opportunity to get to know these incredible women a little, because you will most likely be hearing quite a bit about them over the next year as we minister, grow, and live together with the intention of cultivating honest and intimate community. So here is a little bit about these wonderful women of God.
Ashley – Team Leader
Ashley is 23 years old from Bainbridge PA.
Country she is most excited for: Thailand
Teenagers are her favorite group to minister to.
Random fact: She wishes her life was a musical.
Emily –
Emily is 22 years old from Holt, MI.
Country she is most excited for: Zambia
Babies and kids of all ages are her favorite for ministry
Random fact: I have an intense love for Christmas and Diet Coke
Erin –
Erin is 27 years young and from Des Moines, IA.
Country she is most excited about: Thailand
She wants to do ministry with the women trapped in the sex trade industry.
Random Fact: She can drink a whole gallon of milk in an hour without vomiting. She also cut her toe off once by kicking a toilet, but it grew back.
Janelly –
Janelly is 25 years old, and from Boston, MA
Country she is most excited for: the Philippines, she had a cool dream about it a while back and have felt led to go there since then.
She enjoys doing ministry with Women & Children
Random fact: She truly believes she was born in the wrong decade. She loves so many things about the 40’s & 50’s and wishes she had been born back then.
Mary –
Mary is 25 years old from Columbus, IN
Country she is most excited about: Argentina! She left a piece of her heart there when she studied abroad.
She is excited about church planting.
Random fact: I love Swedish fish and I tend to stay away from chocolate.
