Last October, I attended Cru’s annual fall retreat in Toledo, it’s a weekend of fellowship and fun with friends. We were asked to write ourselves a letter about what we learned and got out of the weekend. My friend Erika received my letter recently and typed it up for me to read. I thought I’d share what I wrote myself a year ago.
Dear Me,
You are looking stunning today! Oh my gosh this weekend has been so great! It was definitely a great last fall getaway. I want to remind you what you learned this weekend and what really hit home. We are on this earth NOW to talk to the lost NOW because there won't be a time later. God called us to follow him and once we do we have to go out in the world and share Jesus' love.
I hope when you are reading this you have thought, prayed and looked into the world race & other projects. Right now I feel like this what Jesus wants you to do. I need to pray that my desires would line up to God's will. Maria, you can be a huge help in the movement of sharing Christ with the world. I love you!

It was such an encouragement reading this letter, because although it was on my heart, I definitely did not think my future self would be on the World Race reading this letter. It has been a long journey in preparation and a wonderful start to our ministry.
I want to thank everyone who has already supported me on the race, I am so blessed and truly thankful for every donation. I am still in need for financial support in continuing my mission trip.
