Hi! I'm Maria and I am 22 years old. I currently go to the University of Toledo and will be graduating in May with my BA in English and a minor in Chemistry. I eventually want to go to grad school to get my Master of Librarian Science degree. I love my family very much, I have two wonderful parents, one older sister, Elizabeth and two younger brothers, Matt and Jacob. I also have a very close extended family and I am so thankful for them.

I grew up moving a lot! As a family we moved 9 times to cities in Ohio, Iowa, Louisiana and Canada, it was definitely not my favorite thing when I was a kid. But looking back at it now, I am glad I had those experiences. It taught me how to adjust to change and make new friends. And also showed me there is more out in the world than just the town in which you live.

I was raised going to a Catholic church, and so I have always believed in God but did not have a personal relationship with Him until I came to college. I got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ on campus my sophomore year and it drastically changed the way I live my life. I saw what it looked like to live your life for Jesus and glorify Him in all you do. I am so thankful to have formed such tight friendships that I have here in college. Since this time, I have been walking strong with the Lord, and learning that He is more than enough for me.

Some fun facts about me: I love summer, basically everything about it (swimming, sunshine, ice cream, etc.) I have been journaling since I was in 1st grade, I love it! My favorite thing to eat is Mexican food, I can never get enough. I enjoy meeting new people!  I may be obsessed with Harry Potter. I love laughing and do it a lot.

If you were to tell me my freshmen year that after I graduate I would be traveling the world, spreading the love of Jesus to people I would have laughed in your face. It just goes to show that God has much bigger plans for your life than you can ever imagine! I am so thankful for this opportunity in my life and beyond excited to see what God has in store for the world.
