Hello!
My name is Maria, and I’m 26 years old. I love coffee, laughter, family, good friends and netflix, but above all, I love Jesus 🙂
I was raised in beautiful Colorado and lived there my entire life. I was lucky to have all of my family there and some amazing friends. I was broken though. My life was in shambles and I didn’t know how to fix it. That’s when God stepped in. For the first time in my life, I decided to listen to Him and put all of my trust in His plans instead of my own. Soo I moved to Wilmington, NC. All the way across the country, where I didn’t know a single person and had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was by far the hardest thing I had ever done and there were so many times I wanted to give up and move home. I missed my family, my best friend, and the life I had there. God kept me going though and gave me the strength I needed to make it. He brought me to the most amazing church and gave me a new family in Christ. He showered me with love and dried my tears. I knew then that He was the way to go, and there was no turning back!
So now I’m here, I live on the beach and follow Jesus. Two pretty amazing things if you ask me! 🙂 I felt God calling me this summer to a life in missions and decided to listen once again. I only planned to go for maybe a couple months but God had different plans for me. I’m now about to go to 11 countries in 11 months and I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t begin to imagine how hard this is going to be but I also know that it will be equally amazing. More than that though, I know that God will be with me the whole way, and I hope you will too 🙂
