¨I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself – he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does…¨ – Jesus (John 5:19)

As Henry Blackaby encourages in his study
Experiencing God, we seek to
find where God is working and join Him.  So, we always begin our time in a new place with one question –
Father, what are you doing?
In fact, here in Costa Rica, we dedicated an entire day to asking that question!  However, as usual, God wrecked our plans…

We planned on spending the day in intentional prayer, hanging out with the Lord and listening for his voice.  Well, God interrupted our ¨prayer time¨ to
show
us what He is doing!  Jose paid us a visit.  We had met Jose the evening before, and immediately several team members felt called to love on him.

Jose was the lonliest person in Belen, Costa Rica.  He came to church and sat by himself.  He didn´t smile or laugh.  He lives by himself in a rundown shack.  God wanted to tell Jose how much He loves him, and God wanted to involve us in sending this message!

In about 24 hours, our team befriended him, hugged him (a ton), blessed his house, and completely cleaned and organized his property.  We took the whole day and just loved ONE man!   This is the heart of God!  At the end of the day, Jose was grinning and laughing.  He said, ¨Now I know that I have family in Christ.¨

¨In Christ, we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.¨ Romans 12:4-5

We have continued to ask the question,
Father, what are you doing
?  At times, we have been overwhelmed by the ¨starfish on the shoreline.¨
But, after much prayer and seeking the Father, we have decided to focus our love on this small town called Belen.  So far we have experienced the sincere hospitality, emotional and spiritual needs, and the sheer madness that is a Girls Night with 60 plus little girls!  Stay tuned to hear more of our stories.  I´m yours for the Journey…
