We made it to the first goal of $5000 and have exceeded that! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far.

Next step is training camp, which is less than a month away! I will be flying out to Atlanta, Georgia and am going to spend 10 days getting to know my teammates and being able to spend time preparing for January. One of my squad mates suggested us taking every Thursday to fast and pray for our trip and what God is going to do. This is something I am going to be implementing in my week, would you consider fasting and praying for this trip as well? It could be fasting from any number of things, but it is meant to be an intentional time of prayer and petition to the Lord for him to move and work in our lives and those whom we serve.

Ok so I said I would be learning a couple phrases from the languages of the countries we’ll be going to. One thing I am learning is that there are many different languages spoken within a country so I’m going to try and learn from one of the most spoken languages. In South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe Zulu is a common language so here are a couple of phrases:

English                      Zulu

How are you?            Unjani?

What’s your name?    Ngubani igama lakho?

My name is….           Igama lami ngu

Yes                           Yebo

No                            Cha

I am going to memorize these ones, and hopefully more. Pick your favorite phrase and try to memorize it in Zulu!
