We were all a bit shaken and Tara suggested that we pray. So bowing our heads she started praying, when it came my turn to pray the story of Jesus rebuking the storm at sea came to mind, so I rebuked the storm that was over us. We didn’t pray long, maybe 5 minutes but by the time we were done the storm was far off in the distance. The thunder was faint and unthreatening. There were no more flashes of lighting, the house was calm, no longer shaken by the weather.
I don’t know what the Lord is up to, but I know that He is growing my faith and confidence in Him. I am coming to know more and more that His name alone is SO powerful. The Lord is teaching me, it doesn’t matter what evil forces are at work, just the mention of His name and evil must flee. Praise the Lord for his power and his incredible love! Thank you Jesus for making me yours and choosing me to be your child. Lord thank you that nothing can separate me from your love.
“38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
