I spent September in Paramos Guatemala, right outside of Antigua. It's a fairly small community that I saw maybe 3 times a week. Because we did not work in the community (for the most part). We spent most of our time on the compound. What was to become Loving Arms new headquarters.

They were moving HQ out of one woman's house and into a more permanent building. So we cleaned, organized, cleaned, gardened, cleaned, and taught some English. We really learned a lot about patience and why were on the race. I am not on the race to complain about cleaning the walls for the 3rd time in 2 days. I'm on the race, more importantly I'm a servant of Gods, to do it again and ask how I can do it better.

I think my favorite part was the yard work. Mercy and I headed up Machete Ministry. Which included trimming the hedge and 'mowing' the lawn with our new favorite tools. Only we didn't know we were mowing the lawn. Initially we wernt sure why they wanted the land cleared. It wasn't to plant a garden, so is it busy work? And perhaps it was busy work. But that's OK. I'm here to work. Any work.

We truly did not have much free time that month, there were some long days. But we spent our off time together. In part because we couldn't go anywhere. But it was probably one of my favorite months.  We all got really close. And it was a new team! Let me introduce you to the Banditos!!

We had 100 inside jokes, random dance partys, Harry Potter marathon, and some of the best dinner conversations. And I'm lucky enough to have this team through to the end. We're currently in Belize together and tomorrow we will be flying to Florida for our last month of ministry as racers.
