“I am pleased with you, my child.”
That was the first sentence of my devotion the other day.
But how could God be pleased with someone who sins so much and goes a whole week without spending time with Him?
Because His love is unconditional! He does not care about performance. He has so much grace for us. He wants us to surrender ourselves to Him and put all our trust in Him.
I feel so unworthy of His love but today He gave me a glimpse of what is yet to come. He is going to show me that I AM worthy of His love. All I have to do is trust Him and spend more time with Him. And while I am patiently waiting, I will serve Him. Just like John Waller says in his song “While I’m Waiting,” I’ll be running the race even while I wait.
