NAUTA

Many of you are curious about what we are doing here in the jungle.  So here is a update on what ministry has looked like and how we are living.

MINISTRY – each day we put on Festival con Dios.  It is set up like a camp…we have teams with colors and cheers and have stations for each group to go to.  I am over the YELLOW team!  I have some amazing kids on my team.  The second day of Festival con Dios we got through 2 of the 4 stations and it all of a sudden down poured!  So we thought it would be a good idea to play along with it…we took the entire group out in the rain and played.  We were throwing mud and falling on the muddy streets…it was awesome…the kids LOVED it.  (we have about 150 kids)

We also do a youth and twenties meeting each day after Festival con Dios where we bring them together to play games, study the word, and break off into groups of guys and girls.  Then in the mornings or on weekends we set up times to meet with them just to get to know them and hang out with them.  It´s a great ministry…it has grown EVERY day since we´ve been here.

Then we preach and give testimonies every Tuesday and Thursday night as well as all day on Sunday.

LIFE – We are living on a boat.  Yes, all 30 of us are pilled up on a boat where their is no privacy but I think we are used to that by now.  We sleep in under misquito nets or we share a tent with someone.  I am in a tent with Andrea.

When it rains everything gets wet.  Our tent got flooded one day (which had our pillows, blankets, sleeping pads, head lamps, and other stuff in it) but there is nothing you can do about the rain..we are doing a better job of protecting our stuff now.

We are eating great food!  Our cooks are amazingJ  We are bathing and washing our clothes and dishes with river water.  The best thing about that is we never have to worry about the water running out!  So we can shower as much as we want to!

Well, that is what our lives look like here in Nauta.
