Our
efforts to change Tambo de Mora
The
first week we spent our time minstring to the people in Tambo de
Mora. We simply went from house to house getting to know the people,
hearing their stories, trying to figure out what help they have
received and seeing what we could do for them whether that be
physically or spiritually. God has been so amazing! He knows that
we are not a group of people with money flowing from our pockets so
He handed to us what these people need.
*GOD
HAS OPENED THE DOORS FOR US TO MEET WITH POLITICAL LEADERS FROM
CHINCHA AND TAMBE DE MORA TO SEE WHERE THE AID IS GOING. (READ OUR
MEDIA’S BLOGS FOR MORE INFO HERE – KIM, DEAN, RUSTY)
*WE
ARE CURRENTLY BUILDING A GARDEN WITH TREES, PLANTS AND GRASS (WHICH
THERE IS NONE OF IN THESE REFUGEE CAMPS). ALL THE SUPPLIES WAS
DONATED TO US! WE JUST DO THE LABOR. PRAISE THE LORD FOR FREE
STUFF!
*ALSO
TODAY (1/16) AND TOMORROW (1/17) WE ARE KILLING THE FLEAS! GOD
AGAIN HAS BLESSED US WITH THE CONNECTIONS TO HAVE THE ENTIRE REFUGEE
CAMP OF TAMBO DE MORA EXTERMINATED! THIS IS FREE FOR US AS WELL!!!
WE WENT FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE PASSING OUT BAGS TO HELP COVER UP THEIR
WATER, FOOD AND CLOTHING.
*WE
ARE HAVING A TEAM COME OUT TO CLEAN UP THE GARBAGE THAT IS
SURROUNDING THE REFUGEE CAMP WITH IS CAUSING MUCH OF THE FLIES. AND
GUESS WHAT??? THIS IS FREE TOO!
*WE
ARE GIVING FLEA MEDICATION TO ALL THE FAMILIES TO KEEP THE FLEAS
AWAY. AGAIN THIS IS FREE!!!
So
things are going well here. There is still so much to be done. We
are working on building more bathrooms, suppling simple medications
such as bug spray, neosporin, band-aids, etc.
