I’ve been wanting to share with ya’ll some of the things that have been going on this month, but it’s all kinda of scattered in my brain because it’s been a lot of random little things here and there. They’ve certainly added up to some amazing things this month and I’m so glad to be a part of it all! So here’s a little narrative of what I’ve been up to and there will be more because I’m terrible at taking photos, but everyone else is pretty good at it, when I steal all their photos, I’ll put up more.
Draganesti Olt, Romania
This is the town that we’ve been living in for the last month. This was an opportunity for us to pray over the city and declare God’s goodness over it. This is one of the bigger towns in the area, everything else around this area we call villages. The people here are mainly Orthodox – it’s heartbreaking because they pay money for a priest to pray for them when God has torn the veil between us by sending His son Jesus Christ to intercede – we no longer need any human come to God. It’s a religion full of lies and deceit, curses and witch craft.
Children’s Ministry
This is me with a boy named Uliy (not sure if that’s how it’s spelled.) He lives next to the church and is absolutely adorable. That’s ice cream around his mouth, not foam… no worries mom and dad, I don’t have rabies yet. The children here are wonderful and though at times it’s difficult because there is a language barrier, you can always play with children and they always understand a smile. We’ve had three gypsy children that are shunned by most of the community and even some in the church that we have been able to love on a lot. I’ll have a picture of them soon!
Village People
We’ve worked with a few different villages around town. This picture is taken in a place called Denasa. It would take me about 20 minutes to walk there. We went to visit this lady and her family because her husband is paralyzed from the waist down due to diabetes. We took the family groceries and laundry detergent. While we were there we learned that she and her husband have several medical issues, but since he can’t work, they don’t have an income. Their daughter lives in a small house behind them, her husband walked 3 days to work construction for 2 months. When he was finished, instead of paying him, they beat him. Only the paralyzed husband knows Christ.
The Carpathian Mountains
This is me with my flag in one of many places that I’ve taken a picture with it! We went with 16 Romanians for a day long trip to the mountains. For lunch, we rented a boat and went onto this lake surrounded by the mountains. It was beautiful and reminded me of Fall in the Carolinas. I felt so small in comparison to it all and found myself in absolute AWE of Christ. Even if the people don’t praise Christ, nature does!

Our Contact Raul
This is my team with our contact Raul. He has been so amazing to work with this month, it’s been such a blessing to work along side him this first month because he has prepared us for the next ten. He has challenged us to be Biblical about everything we preach and to see things from the eyes of those that have never been to church or heard of Christ. We’ve found a lot of joy in serving him however necessary.
This really has nothing to do with the rest of this blog, but this is a video about the house we live in. Also, I’ve reached my most recent goal of $8,000, so let’s praise the Lord for providing to this point. I know He is going to continue in this, and THANK YOU to all that have supported me financially and especially in prayer, I need it everyday!
