I was talking to a friend who just returned from the World Race on Wednesday. Visit her blog at Lindsaydobner.theworldrace.org. AMAZING woman of God!! We were talking about what she wants to share with people now that she's back. We were discussing the story of Israel in Numbers 13-14. Moses sent ment to scout out the land of Canaan, the promised land. The men saw that the land was good, but they also saw that the sons of Anak (giants) lived there and were afraid. So they gave a negative report to the people and told them not to go agains the people of Canaan because they were stronger than the people of Israel.
Joshua and Caleb stood up however and spoke truth, "The land we passed through and explored is an extremely good land. If the Lord is pleased with us, He will bring us into this land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and give it to us. Only don't rebel against the Lord, and don't be afraid of the people of the land, for we will devour them. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us. Don't be afraid of them!"
I can tell you from personal experience and that of my friends who have "explored" this world, IT IS EXTREMELY GOOD! God has promised us the nations! He has promised that every people, every tribe and every nation will have someone represented before His throne in Heaven. We can not be afraid of the "giants' that will come against us! The punishment is wondering in an unknown land instead of entering into the promise that God has prepared for us!
What's more is that the people of Israel even complained "If we only had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this wilderness!…Wouldn't it be better for us to go back to Egypt?" They would rather go back into slavery than enter into a land God has promised them because they are afraid and don't trust that God is BIG enough to defeat the enemy. He already has!! It's been done!!
I'm going for it!! I'm going to trust God and yes there will be times when the demons of fear, lies and oppression come against myself and my team. But our God is a BIG God! He's defeated the enemy! He who is in me is bigger than he who is in the world…Let's go, come with me, step out of that comfort zone and let's pray for things that are too big to imagine! For hundreds upon hundreds to come to know Christ. To believe without seeing, for the Holy Spirit to pour out His knowledge on them, for those who are just hearing to disciple those who are just hearing!!
Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow
Praise Him all creatures here below
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
