One month! Can you believe it?! One month from today, I will be leaving on the World Race! I cannot wait to get to Ireland and see what amazing adventures God has in store there & then around the world for the rest of the year. During training, I was able to get a better picture of the work I will be doing: loving on children that were sold into sexual slavery in Cambodia, repairing an elderly gypsy’s house in Romania, singing with the orphans of Uganda, and carrying the love of Jesus into the Middle East (where it is illegal to wear a cross).
These last two months have been a whirlwind of activity. So far, I have held 2 yard sales, attended 2 weddings, closed out my job of the last 4 years, moved in with my parents, found a home for my 2 dogs for the year, and raised half my funds! This last month is going to be crazy too- 1 more yard sale, shopping for gear (because I’ll only have a backpack & tent for the year) (See post: Gear Needs), saying goodbye to my friends & family, and selling t-shirts (See post: Will You Choose Love? T-shirts!).
I will make no promises except this one- this year is going to be radical! Not in the 80s sense of the word, but really life-altering rad! The love that we on our 84 person squad are bringing to the world is going to create waves of change! Contagious, outrageous, God-spoken change! I know my life will never be the same & I know that you can be a part of this too. You can join me on this radical walk of life!
