Last night, we arrived at our new ministry sight in Thailand. Today we went to a church service and first of all, the worship was beautiful. They sang songs in Thai that we know in English, and it was so neat to hear everyone worshiping in different languages.
The pastor then gave a sermon on planting seeds and harvesting the fruit. The Lord really called out to me in this time. We are all called to plant and harvest. “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planted and the harvester alike. You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And its true. I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and how you will get to gather the harvest.” John 4:34-38 We may only be called to finish the harvest where someone has already planted the seeds or we may be called to plant the seeds, but we don’t give up and we are to strive to finish the planting and harvesting. It’s just like the rice fields here; if you don’t work with them daily, they will go to ruin. We must work to harvest the fruit and bring people to eternal life.
I believe God has something truly special waiting for my team in Ubon & I can’t wait! There will definitely be tons of planting and harvesting!!
Thank you all for the prayers and support!
