from Wobulenzi, Uganda! I am currently doing
ministry and living life in month 9 of my world race. Can you believe it?!? 8 months have already passed by….where does
the time go? Yeah, but life has been
GREAT! It’s definitely has had it’s
moments, but it’s within the hard times you see the most growth. So far, the world race is exactly the
prescription I have been waiting for. I
needed to get healthy and better in order for me to continue living the life
God has planned for me.
I
want to share with you all an overview of my life in ASIA the past three months!
(December-February) Mainly highlights
and some interesting information; so I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed living
life in Asia!
Thailand– City: Phuket/Patong/Kathu. Ministry: SHE ministries; bar ministry
1) Lived with 18 women in a house
with bunk beds and actual bathrooms; on a team of 9, ministered with 2 women
(Courtney Duron & Kiera Dragan).

2) Motto of Asia: Same, Same but Different
3) Fried bananas & iced coffee
for $1.50.

4) Picked up some Thai (Swadeekah,
Kopkoonkah, Sa ba de mai kah…) [surprisingly, Thai & Russian have been the
easiest to pick up….other than Spanish].
5) Reasonably priced “beats
headphones”, “Ray bans”, & “Oakley’s”……
6) Thailand was not nice to my
budget.
7) They really don’t eat bugs;
it’s mainly for the tourists.

8) Walking out with a new love for
Thai food although my taste buds won’t thank me because they will be no more
9) Lots of new friendships this
month! (Gsquad women, SHE staff, Immersion girls, YWAMers, & of course my
Thai women!)

Malaysia–
City: Kuala Lipis. Ministry: teaching English, prep work on
newly formed KJ Generation Center

10) Worked with my new team Go for
It (Luke & Chelsey Duffney, Gabe Sanchez, Carter Gannon, and Drea Stradler). Lived in a Hindu family’s
home. Men downstairs, Women
upstairs. Slept on our sleeping pads,
but did still have an actual bathroom.

11) Lived in Malaysia, but did not
eat Malay food. Only Indian food 3 meals
a day; all day, err-day.
12) Right hand = eat, Left hand =
wipe. Enough said.

13) New love for bubble tea &
tea tarik.

14) Spreading God’s love without
using our words.
15) Kuala Lumpur is a legit
city. Would highly recommend visiting!
16) Grew in my confidence in myself
and most importantly, in the Lord.
Cambodia– City: Phnom Penh. Ministry: door to door evangelism,
teaching English, leading church & various church activities

17) Lived upstairs in the church,
we called it “The Upper Room”. It’s
where our team got raw, real and became like a family. First 2 weeks slept in my hammock with a bug
net, but still got eaten alive by bugs and then my team out voted me and made
me get my butt in a tent, so the rest of the month I was back sleeping on my
sleeping pad. Bucket showers & a
“hover” potty (not a full squatty, a toilet without a seat).

18) Asian markets are my
weakness. If I didn’t have to carry a
backpack for 3 more months in Africa, I would have bought a lot more. Oh yes, you better believe I bought a pair of
drop-crotch pants. I’m so bringing this fad
back to America.
19) They really eat bugs here. It’s like popping Pringles to us; instead they
pop crickets. Same same.

20) Thank you Jesus for fans! (When
the electricity was on).
21) Thank you AIM for sending us to
Cambodia during mango & watermelon season!

22) Observation: the people are resistant to
change, but they want to. Please pray
for the people of Cambodia.
23) I tried, as in, I ate dog. DISCLAIMER:
I did NOT like it, I did it strictly for the cultural experience!
walking in newness with the Father.
25) We crashed a Cambodian
wedding…..and it was awesome!

Ready or not, here comes AFRICA!!
#TIA (This is Africa)
3 more months….Finishing strong for the Lord!
