Born, raised and having always lived in San Francisco, I am the youngest of four
girls and the daughter of amazing, loving parents. I have two brothers-in-law,
a two-year-old niece and a four-month-old nephew. I grew up in a home with
Buddhist parents who engaged in ancestral worship and idolatry. But by the grace of God, He saved us all.
I graduated from San Francisco State University
with a degree in Business and landed a job in corporate America that
afforded me many luxuries of this world – traveling being one of my favorites. I have traveled to over 15 countries in 4
continents. I thought I was pretty
accomplished for a “twenty-something” year old.
But professionally, what was once important and fulfilling was progressively
becoming insignificant and unsatisfying. After much prayer, opened doors,
closed doors and counsel, I am sure that God has lead me to the mission field.
My first mission trip was to Mississippi
for Katrina relief where I learned and gained so much more than I ever imagined
I would. I learned that although I participated in reconstructing homes almost
everyday, the true focus wasn’t so much about rebuilding the homes, but about loving
on the people. God blessed me with the experience of meeting men and women who
were thankful that Katrina took away all their material wealth so that He could
shower them with His love through new relationships and friendships. God also
blessed me with new Christian brothers and sisters and kindred spirits.
Some of my hobbies include snowboarding, baking, learning languages, billiards and
dining out.
