We are on Day 10 here in Uganda and the last 10 days have been packed. The last 10 days have always been amazing. It feels at times as though we have been so where for months because of how much we pack into a small amount of time. But Uganda has been amazing so far and I want to share that with you.
We arrived in Jinja, Uganda last week at a campground called Adrift. Adrift is located on the Nile. We had such a great time with the squad in Jinja. I had the opportunity to go white water rafting on the Nile as well as tandem bungee jump with my squad leader Krissy. Bungee Jumping was amazing probably more amazing than white water rafting which was intense and great. We camped and just took a couple of days to rest and spend some time with the squad. During that time at Adrift we also learned of team changes which was a difficult time for some so please keep us in your prayers. I am no longer on Team Radiance but now I am on Team SWAT. We had the opportunity to work alongside Team SWAT in Kenya so I knew them well and am happy to be on this team. The rest of my girls went on different teams as well and I really love how everything worked out for all of us. I believer it was a great change and a new beginning.
We left Jinja and traveled to Kampala (the capital city of Uganda) for orientation and also team ministry assignments. We traveled to Sebei, Uganda and are here now living with our contact in his home on Mount Elgon. It is absolutely beautiful here and we are definitely living the simple life. It is hard thinking back in the past when I lived out of convenience but I am learning so very much and loving it.
We are doing House to House Fellowship and speaking at different schools on Education and Abstinence. It has been a lesson in itself.
We leave here in about 2 weeks to go and work a conference back in Kampala and then we leave for Europe, Ireland first for the Awakening.
Pray for us. Pray that God does amazing things and teaches us more and more about Himself.
Thank you so much for following me this year around the world. It has been a life dream come true for me that I am not too anxious to give up. Pray for the new season of my life that is coming when I return home in 3 months 🙂
If you are interested in supporting me, I still lack $1911.50 to complete the race.
