Why : We want to connect with those men and women hoping to build
relationships
On Wednesday nights we go out to connect with the individuals that we meet with during the week at Kawan ( homeless ministry we work with this month) and in hopes of building relationships.
Last week, we went out and we had Chuila Street to walk and hopefully connect with some of our friends. The team that I was with paired up with a woman who translated for us.
We had the opportunity to speak with a woman who they have talked to for a few weeks. I was able to listen as our translator spoke with the woman and then translated for us in English. I was so intrigued by the woman’s questions : Do I have to speak in English? Can I pray for my cats? Of course God can understand English, He created English and He created languages.
I was so encouraged that we were able to be a part of that and to know that each week the staff / friends / volunteers at Kawan go out to meet with people like this and to clarify who God is. Weekly the volunteers / believers diligently go out telling of who God is through serving, clarifying, providing, loving, etc…Thank you Kawan volunteers, that there are places like yours filled with people like you.
