Journals on a Mission
- The Making of Journals on a Mission
I know that fundraising may not always be a [fun] season, but I have to say this has truly been such a joy to me. The Lord placed journals on my heart about a month after I got accepted to the World Race. My mom knows I love to create art, quotes, designs – and most of all I love to journal. A couple years ago I made my mom a small Moleskine journal and painted it for her birthday. She kept it by her bedside for months and wrote prayers, praises, and notes in it daily. When fundraising became a huge reality in this process, I asked the Lord to give me something I loved to do to bring Him glory and share my story in the process of raising funds to take His name to the ends of the earth. My mom strongly encouraged me to make more of these journals and sell them for missions. I thought it wouldn’t go far – but here I am – almost 50% funded and creating journals has been a huge blessing (thanks Mom!). I’m not the most artistic being, but there’s something about these journals that I so purely enjoy creating. I have to give all props to the Lord because in His strength I have found passion, motivation, creativity, and joy in painting journals.
