Hello there! I’m Lyndsay.

I’m 27 years old. I grew up in Anaheim, Hills, CA. I currently live in the great state of Texas.
I recently graduated from the University of North Texas. I have a Psychology degree with a Communications minor.
I am very close with my family. I love my parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins very much.
My family is full of laughter, love, and food.

Since 2012, I have worked with some incredible, awesome people at WC Students at White’s Chapel UMC. I serve there as a Student Minister and administrative assistant. This community changed my life. I am so blessed to know and work with people that have taught me so much about what it is to follow Christ.

My favorite hobbies: I LOVE to bake, cook, grill, go on runs or walks, be outside, do crafts, take random road trips and eat cupcakes.
A few random things about me:
I do not enjoy writing “about me” sections.
My family is the most important to me.
I love to write.
I love hiking.
My favorite foods are chicken wings, sushi, and cupcakes. A delicious combo 😉
In 2002, I went on a roadtrip across the US with my youth group. Yeah CHPC!! We went from CA, to NYC, back to Cali. All in about 4 weeks!
A few of my favorite tv shows: big bang theory, nashville, modern family, and family guy.
I like to collect aprons, sprinkles, and headbands.
I hope to serve on a jury one day.
I love the beach and the mountains. I want both!!!
Why the World Race?
I have a heart to love and serve people. I did not always act on this calling, but now I’m ready for it. A big decision for the World Race was: IT’S NOW OR NEVER. I mean, I’m 27. It’s either put your big girl pants on and deal with life (my sis has always told me that) or do something crazy for Jesus before you have a family. And for me, World Race was the harder choice because that meant I had to give my complete trust and comfort to Him. I miss my family and friends a lot, but I know that this work is eternal and I want to dedicate my life to serving and building the Kingdom.

And that’s it 🙂
