Wow, life is messy…right?!?  As I’ve been on The World Race and I’ve been seeking God out
in many new ways, He has allowed me opportunities to listen to His voice and
choose to either follow Him or not.
There are definitely times that I do not do as He asks me because I am
too scared or think it’s just a little bit too crazy, BUT there are many times
when I listen and obey as I’ve been writing about.

(These boys are a mess…but SOOO cute!)

In those times when I actually do the thing that God’s
asking me to do…I’ve found that it doesn’t always look pretty.  The gifts that God allows us to use
don’t always come completely natural.
He’s allowed us a voice to speak words of life and love into people, but
many times we fumble over our words or our voice shakes because we are
nervous.  God’s given some of us
the ability to sing and play instruments, but sometimes we mess up or it
doesn’t go according to plan.
Others have a God-given love for children or youth; however, there are
days when our stories aren’t interesting enough or our songs aren’t fun enough
to entertain them!  With the
authority that we have in Christ, we have the power to pray for healing for
people…but many times people are not healed as we would like to see them
healed.

BUT, you know what?
God LOVES that we TRY!  Obviously,
we do not have it all figured out…and we never will.   He knows that.
He is so proud of us when we allow Him to use us even when we end up
making a fool of ourselves for His sake.

(I am kind of obsessed with these motorcycle mirror pics…and yes, we are a mess!)

There are so many times when I do not feel equipped enough,
or energetic enough, or Biblically knowledgeable enough to do anything of worth
for God’s Kingdom.   However,
God has called me out for a very specific purpose.  As long as I’m willing to be used by Him and look a little
bit silly sometimes…God desires to use me.

God does not need us at all; however, He passionately
pursues us and desires for us to want to serve Him with all we are.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfect in weakness.  Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.  So because of Christ, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in catastrophes, in persecutions, and in pressures.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.”  2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
