To start out I have an announcement to make: I AM FULLY FUNDED! Thank you so much to everyone who has loved and supported me through the fundraising process. It has been a humbling experience.
Now a few things about training camp:
- It is really hard to stay clean when living in a tent on Georgia red clay.
- Bucket showers are not the most effective way to wash thick, wavy hair.
- Camping in the rain can either lull you to sleep or wreck your nerves.
- There are some nice sized spiders in Georgia, but most humans are bigger.
- God works in amazing ways.
Training camp was exhausting, emotional, breaking, soul-finding, relationship building, and completely worth the tiredness I feel today. If you are reading this hoping to find out inside information for your own training camp this is my advice to you (that was given to me by an Alum) be open. Let yourself be vulnerable and messy because in those moments you will find freedom from what may be holding you back. You will find love, acceptance, and accountability from your trainers, mentors, and team members. Most of all you will find grace.

I have fallen in love with my 49 squad mates. They are a never ending source of energy. During the past 10 days when I felt down there was always someone near by to pick me back up or to lift my spirits. God showed me through each of my squad mates and trainers that I am good enough. That I can make a difference. That with Him anything is possible.
I am excited for the next leg of my journey which starts in a short 28 days. To my friends and family reading this I would love to see each and everyone of you before I take off, even if it is just for a Sonic drink!
Don’t forget to subscribe if you want to stay up to date on my travels starting in July.
Love and blessings to all.
