When I look back on the past several months since I was accepted to join the World Race all I can say is WOW. From my closest friends to complete strangers I have been shown constant support and encouragement. I want to thank everyone who has offered kind words to those who have offered financial support, each of you have made a difference. I am especially shocked by all the financial support I have received. I am just $1000 dollars away from reaching my goal of $16,277 and I still cannot believe it!
It seems as though everything is falling into place.
I am going to be real with you for a moment, some days it is really hard. Some days I cannot imagine leaving my comfortable life with my friends and family who love me to travel across the world with 40 strangers. Some days I think how easy it would be to just go to graduate school and live only 90 miles from my parents and grandparents. Some days I worry that I am not good enough to be a missionary. Some days I am scared to death of this feeling that I have, this feeling to follow God to the ends of the Earth.
Then someone comes into my life and encourages me to keep following this feeling. And then there are moments, like this past week, where some one donates $500 dollars anonymously to my World Race account.
These small acts and big acts are reminders that God does not always call the qualified, but He qualifies the called.
Now that I am so close to being fully funded, I am just asking for prayers. Prayers for a safe journey. Prayers for an open heart. Prayers for open eyes. And prayers for open ears.
