Spain has been so good to our team. From Barcelona to the Camino de Santiago to Mijas, we’ve seen a lot, done a lot and learned a lot in these last 20 days. My favorite part was definitely the Camino and our days off on the beach in Mijas. 🙂

There’s something truly special about the Camino, I felt that daily as I walked. Typically pilgrims start the Camino in St Johns in France. They spend anywhere from 30-40 days of walking on average of 20km a day, until they reach Santiago. From my understanding, Camino de Santiago translated means “the walk of the saints”, and this hike was the path of James, as he carried the gospel to these areas for the first time. People from all over the world do the Camino for various reasons, but mostly for spiritual finding or strengthening. Each day you meet new people on the path or at your Albergue (hostel) and you swap life stories, cook together, and simply enjoy each other’s company. My team and I spent 5 days on the Camino, starting in La Groño, and ending in Burgos finishing near 100 miles in total. Since traveling a good amount and being exposed to such beauty in New Zealand God has reminded me of my LOVE for nature, so the Camino definitely put me in my element. It was especially great during the mornings that we spent in utter silence, drawing nearer to the Lord and experiencing his presence. I stuck to the back, singing praises to the King, and it was just so special to be in the midst of Gods glory and his creation. Even the birds and owls and trees joined in worship with me. The presence of the Lord was so prevalent and it was just so sweet to be in his embrace. My anthem for the Camino was “Deeper” by the Planetshakers. I sang this song multiple times a day, I bet the pilgrims were so over my sanging hahah 🙂 the song says “Take me deeper than I’ve been before, take me further God I long for more, take you higher Jesus I want more, Jesus I want more. More of you, more of you Jesus, more of you, I want more of you.” I’m praying these words over my life. The Camino was such a special experience, I highly recommend it, and am praying for the opportunity to do the whole trek someday. 🙂

Through this last week of training God has been moving and working through my team and I. The “honeymoon” faze is definitely over and were all learning what living in community looks like. It’s been challenging at times but we have a lot to look forward to.
It’s a honor to be surrounded by such great people who deeply desire bringing the gospel to the world. There’s such fire and passion for the Lord in the hearts of my teammates, and to be surrounded by that 24/7 is refreshing.

Today I’m leaving for Northern Africa for our first month of service projects. 😉 I covet your prayers for our different projects we’ll be taking on and our safety. Please specifically pray for these people we’re going to come in contact with, and that their hearts would be open to all the good news we’re bringing them. Please pray that each of us has a spirit of discernment and boldness.

Thank you my supporters I wouldn’t be here without you. I can’t wait to share the great things that God does over these next months. Currently praising the Lord after checking my account I have 14,630.82 and only need $2930.18 to be fully funded!!!! How amazing is that?!? Gotally trusting the Lord to provide the rest in her perfect time and perfect ways. He’s such a good father. Thank you for all the love and prayers. ??
