I have been learning alot about leadership and as I have been seeking the Lord about it I felt compelled to study some Bible characters. Daniel was one of the people. As I have been reading through Daniel, so many things have come out to me. I have always struggled with only knowing the stories and wanting to know more that isn’t in Scripture. More about the people, their thoughts, processes and more stories in their life. As I was praying and reading through the chapters I felt God speaking to me about how He made Daniel and how He knew him inside and out. That I know Someone who knew (and made) Daniel and that all I have to do is ask! I have never thought of it that way before. The people in the Bible have only been characters to me- felt cutouts on a board or stories in my imagination. Yet, they were real people who knew and loved and served God. To know them, all we have to do is ask! I am beginning to memorize Daniel’s prayer. It is such a reminder of who God is. I want that to motivate me- only GOD. Anyone want to memorize with me?
“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have known to us the king’s matter.”
Daniel 2:20-23
